In April, Corteva Agriscience inducted 19 employees into its 2024 class of Global Sales Champions. Sales professionals from around the world were nominated for the cohort by their Commercial Unit leadership. The 2024 class joined a network of 40 other members who make up the 2022 and 2023 classes. These individuals were recognized for their expert Corteva knowledge and personal successes, as well as their passion for helping customers reach professional goals. Among this year’s honorees was Kurt Curry, district leader for Brevant® seeds in Illinois.

“It’s an honor to part of the 2024 class of Global Sales Champions,” Curry said.

While I am truly proud of this accomplishment, it is also a daily reminder to strive for the highest level of execution and excellence.

Curry kickstarted his career in ag retail. He joined the Dow AgroSciences team as a territory manager covering northwestern Indiana in 2011. After the establishment of Corteva Agriscience, Curry took a role as area business development manager for a new brand and helped launch Brevant seeds — which, Curry said, was an experience unlike any other.

“Getting to be part of the launch of Brevant seeds has been the highlight of my career thus far,” Curry said. “As I’ve now gotten to see the business from a couple different angles, it has become even more exciting. It’s not often that an individual gets to play a part in creating the vision, messaging and direction of the brand they work for.”

In the 13 years Curry has worked at the company, he has encountered many changes and adapted to continue providing top-tier service and solutions to his customers. With the help of his team and unique learning experiences, Curry has been able to progress in his role and strive for more.

“Since joining Corteva, I’ve had a chance to work with a lot of extraordinary individuals,” Curry said. “I’ve always tried to be open to change, listen to others as well as learn from my peers. Having great coaches and mentors along the way has definitely been a benefit. At the end of the day, I think embracing change, looking for the opportunity in every situation and being open to new possibilities has helped us build success.”

On behalf of the team at Brevant seeds, we are proud to have Kurt represent the brand in the 2024 class of Global Sales Champions. Congratulations, Kurt!
